The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 will likely launch on 29 March 2021. The anticipated tablet might be officially launched among other devices during Xiaomi’s Mega Launch Event which will happen on 29 March, at 19:30 (GMT+8). The online launch event will stream live on the company’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages. According to the company’s tweet, ‘this is one launch you really better not miss’.

The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 features a 2K display that measures 11 inches in size and uses an IPS LCD panel. This display has an impressive 144 Hz screen refresh rate and a 480 Hz touch sampling rate. For screen protection, the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G chipset which features an enhanced Qualcomm Kryo 585 CPU prime core clock speed of up to 3.2 GHz. At the back, a 20 MP sensor acts as the main camera, and a 13 MP sensor next to it is used as an ultrawide camera. Unlike the previous Mi Pad devices, the Mi Pad 5 runs on a special MIUI system known as the MIUI for Pad. The whole phone weighs around 510g which is not that heavy and is just 8.13 mm thick. It also comes with a Mi Pen(Mi Stylus) and a fingerprint sensor for security. The battery capacity of the Mi Pad 5 is 10000 mAh. It comes with 50W fast charging support. The tablet also features Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 screen protection.
